  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute PoliStack data, AI-generated responses, or analysis without prior written authorization
  • Use trial access more than once per person per server, or attempt to obtain multiple trial periods through any means

4f. Political & Election-Specific Restrictions

You must not use PoliStack to:

  • Provide legal compliance advice without the involvement of qualified legal counsel
  • Automate illegal political messaging
  • Engage in voter suppression or intimidation tactics

5. AI-Specific Guidelines

PoliStack uses AI models to generate responses. When interacting with AI-powered features, you agree to the following guidelines:

  • Do not rely on AI as a sole source: AI-generated responses should not be used as the sole basis for legal, financial, investment, medical, or other professional decisions. Always verify critical information through independent sources.
  • Do not misrepresent AI content: Do not present AI-generated content as official government statements, positions, or documents.
  • Do not attempt to manipulate AI models: Do not use prompt injection, jailbreaking, or other techniques designed to cause the AI to produce harmful, misleading, or unauthorized content or to bypass safety measures.
  • Understand AI limitations: AI responses may contain errors or inaccuracies. PoliStack is a data retrieval and analysis tool, not an authoritative source of truth. Data is current as of our most recent database update and may not reflect real-time changes.

6. MCP Server-Specific Rules

The following additional rules apply to use of the MCP Servers (Governance Intel and Political Finance) via Model Context Protocol clients (Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, Cursor, and other compatible clients):

  • MCP access tokens and API keys are for your authorized use only, or for authorized team members under your subscription. Do not share, publish, or embed them in publicly accessible code or configurations.
  • Team members sharing a subscription query pool are each responsible for their own usage. Excessive consumption of the shared query pool by a single team member that prevents other members from accessing the Service may be considered abuse.
  • Trial access is limited to one trial per person per server. Requesting or obtaining multiple trials through different accounts or identities is prohibited.
  • Do not use MCP servers to bulk-download, mirror, scrape, or systematically extract the underlying database. MCP tools are designed for interactive, on-demand queries.
  • You must comply with the terms of service of the MCP client platform you are using (e.g., Anthropic’s terms for Claude Desktop, OpenAI’s terms for ChatGPT) in addition to these PoliStack terms.

7. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any activity that violates this Acceptable Use Policy, we encourage you to report it promptly. You can contact us at:

We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly. You will not be penalized for making a good-faith report of a suspected violation.

8. Enforcement

PoliStack investigates reported violations and takes appropriate action based on the severity and nature of the violation. Enforcement actions may include, at our sole discretion:

  • Warning: A written notice for minor or first-time violations
  • Temporary suspension: Suspension of account access for a defined period
  • Permanent termination: Permanent removal of account and access to the Service without refund
  • Referral to law enforcement: For violations involving illegal activity, election interference, security attacks, or threats of violence

We reserve the right to take immediate action without prior warning in cases of severe violations that pose an immediate risk to the Service, its users, or the public.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy as the platform evolves and new use cases emerge. If we make material changes, we will notify users by email (if you have an account) or by posting a notice on the Service.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. The “Effective Date” at the top of this page reflects the date of the most recent revision.
